Foodies just can't resist the urge to search for new recipes. So, here I am with my first blog sharing new casserole idea with you all.
I will be covering the food and cuisines of Sikkim since the Sikkimese food is a rich mixture of Nepalese, Tibetan and native food of Sikkim. This blend of the three cultures is very soothing on the taste buds. Sikkimese food is the explosion of flavours that will make your hunger go haywire.
Here is the first dish of Sikkim for you guys which you would definitely love.
•Thukpa or Gya Thuk
Thukpa is a hot noodle soup of Tibetan origin which found its way to Sikkim and has indeed became a loved cuisine there. This soup is very delicious and healthy at the same time - a rare combination - isn't it? Thukpa is made using vegetables or chicken which are both worth trying.
Today, I am sharing the recipe of the soup made of vegetables.
Let's go and dig into this easy and simple recipe which is so hassle free without any fancy ingredients and still so full of taste.
>Ingredients
•Noodles
•Chopped green onion
•Green beans
•Carrot cut lengthwise
•Chopped cabbage
•Spring onions
•Chopped ginger and garlic
•Red chilly sauce
•Soya sauce
•Water
•Oil
•Cumin powder
•Salt
You can adjust the quantity of the ingredients as per your taste and requirements.
>Method
1. Boil the noodles
2. In a pan, add oil
3. Once hot, add the garlic and ginger and saute for 30 seconds
4. Now, add the green onion and saute until translucent.
5. Add the chopped carrot, cabbage and green beans.
6. Now, add the cumin powder, garam masala powder, red chilly sauce and soya sauce.
7. Add in the water and wait until the mixture boils
8. Now, add the boiled noodles and salt.
9. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly on low flame.
10. Pour the soup into a bowl.
11. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot.
