Kinema Curry

Hey guys! I am back with my another blog sharing a new and absolutely amazing recipe with you people.
This lip smacking Kinema Curry  is of Sikkim is a blessing for foodies, like me, who want to try on new dishes every now and then. The star ingredient of this unique dish is fermented soya bean which is known as Kinema in Sikkim. 

I love soya bean in every shape and form so when I came to know about this dish, I was pretty excited to try it and honestly it turned out amazing. 

Kinema Curry is one of the most popular dishes of Sikkim. Since soya bean is a key ingredient in it, it is high in protein value and tastes fantabulous. This dish is served with rice. It is a great food to try out. 

So, here I am with the recipe of this dish for you guys. 
Let's get started!

Ingredients:
•Rice
•Kinema 
•Chopped onions 
•Sliced tomatoes
•Green Chillies 
•Turmeric powder
•Salt

Method:
> Boil rice or fry it with vegetables it according to your preference. 
> In a pan, heat oil and add chopped onions and fry till it becomes soft.
> Now add tomatoes and turmeric powder and fry for 1-2 minutes. 
> Add kinema, salt and green chillies and fry for 5 more minutes. 
> Pour a little water in it so that the curry becomes thick. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes more. 

Your kinema curry is ready to serve with rice.

Raksi- a Heaven

Hey guys! Welcome to my new blog. Hope you all are doing fine.  Today, i will be telling about a Sikkimese beverage. Unfortunately, this is only for bibulous people. Sorry my sober friends!  The name of the beverage which I am talking about is Raksi or Rakshi, a nepali term for a traditional distilled alcoholic beverage in Sikkim. Raksi is a home made drink which is quite strong. It is made from millet or rice, both give a differ]ent flavour to it. While drinking Raksi, you will get a strong smell on the nose while giving a burning sensation down your throat that resolves itself into a surprisingly smooth sensation.  People drink this home brew to celebrate festivals, though some think that the prized drink itself is the reason to celebrate.
